How does Setlore suggest my next weight?
The engine looks at your recent sessions for that exercise. If you hit the top of the rep range on every set, it adds one weight step; if you're within the range, it asks for one more rep at the same weight; if you fell short, it holds or lowers the weight. After a long break it starts you lighter. The "Why?" button next to each target explains the reason.
What is estimated 1-rep max?
The heaviest weight you could probably lift once, estimated from the weight and reps of your sets (e.g. 100 kg × 5 ≈ 117 kg). It rises as you get stronger; charts and records track it.
How are records calculated?
A set is a record when its estimated max beats your all-time best for that exercise. Only completed working sets count — not warm-ups or unchecked sets. No record is shown the first time you do an exercise.
What does 10–20 sets per muscle per week mean?
The heat map in Progress shows the total working sets a muscle got this week (all workouts combined, warm-ups excluded). For example, training chest 2 days a week with 2 exercises × 3 sets each is 12 sets.
What does Pro unlock? How does the trial work?
Pro unlocks next-session weight and rep targets, plateau warnings, the estimated max chart, the heat map and unlimited programs. The first 3 days are free and we remind you before the trial ends. To cancel, use your App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
My gym's plates are different — can I change the weight step?
Yes: Settings → Workout settings → Weight steps. Pick the smallest jump for each type of equipment (e.g. dumbbells in 2 kg steps). Suggestions and the + / − buttons follow it. For kg or lb, see Settings → Workout settings → Unit.
How do I move my history from Hevy or Strong?
Use "export data (CSV)" in that app's settings, save the file to your phone, then pick it in Settings → Import from Hevy / Strong. Imported workouts are saved as "Only me". Exercises we don't have are skipped and listed in the preview. Picking the same file twice won't create duplicates.
Can I export my data?
Yes: Settings → Export. All your workouts are prepared as a CSV file in Hevy format that you can save to Files or share.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Workouts are saved on your phone first and synced to your account when you're back online. See the status in Settings → Sync. Likes you give offline wait and are sent when you reconnect.
Who can see my workouts?
For each workout you choose Only me, Followers or Everyone; set the default for new workouts in Settings → Privacy. With a private account you approve follow requests. You can withdraw sharing permission on the same screen at any time.
Why don't I get an alert when rest is over?
For the rest-over alert while your phone is in your pocket, allow notifications for Setlore (iPhone: Settings → Setlore → Notifications) and keep Settings → Notifications → Rest timer on. To stop the screen from dimming during a workout, use Settings → Workout settings → Keep screen on during workouts.
How do I set a workout reminder?
Settings → Notifications → Reminder. Pick the days and time; the notification shows your next workout. No internet needed — your phone schedules it.
I want to change my email or username, or delete my account
Settings → Account settings: change your email (confirm with the code sent to the new address), change your username or delete your account. Deleting permanently removes your account and all data.
